Police search for 17-year-old Southern Calif. girl believed kidnapped, missing since Thursday

Police fear 17-year-old Calif. girl was kidnapped

MORENO VALLEY, Calif. — Sheriff’s deputies say they fear a 17-year-old Southern California girl who has been missing for two days may have been kidnapped.

Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Joe Borja says Norma Lopez never returned home after attending summer school classes Thursday morning at Valley View High School in Moreno Valley.

Borja says items belonging to Lopez were found in a field near her home and there also were signs of a possible struggle.

Police are looking for a green SUV seen speeding from the area.
