Man who took hostages at NH Clinton office fined
DOVER, N.H. — Prosecutors are trying to send a New Hampshire man who took hostages at a Hillary Rodham Clinton presidential campaign office in 2007 back to prison for probation violations.
Leeland Eisenberg pleaded guilty Tuesday to two charges of criminal mischief and was fined.
In February, Eisenberg was accused of cutting off his electronic monitoring bracelet a day after a judge gave him a “last chance” at freedom following repeated probation violations.
An affidavit says he was found intoxicated the following day at his Dover apartment and had bought cocaine while he was at large.
WMUR-TV says the county attorney is expected to ask a judge on Thursday to impose from the hostage case suspended sentences that would send Eisenberg back to prison.
