3 reported hurt in Tenn. hospital shooting

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A Knoxville Fire Department official says emergency responders are at the scene of a hospital shooting that left at least three people injured.

Knoxville Fire Department Capt. D.J. Corcoran told television stations that fire, police and sheriff’s officials had been called to Fort Sanders Parkwest Hospital at about 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Corcoran says he doesn’t know if the shooter is among those injured. He also didn’t know the extent of the injuries.

Calls and e-mails to the hospital, Knoxville police and the sheriff’s office weren’t immediately returned.
