8 jailed American missionaries leave Haiti for US

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti — Eight American missionaries charged with child kidnapping and jailed for nearly three weeks have left for Miami. The group took off on a US Air Force C-130 cargo plane late Wednesday night. Reporters watched as the plane left the tarmac. Officials from the US State Department and the US Embassy who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media, confirmed that the Americans were on the plane that left.
