Driver thought she saw Ohio woman raped near road

TOLEDO, Ohio — At least one of the motorists who drove by while police say an Ohio woman was raped along a street in broad daylight could tell what was happening.

Police in Toledo released a 911 call Friday from the attack. On the call, the driver told authorities that the woman was being raped or taken advantage of.

The caller told police that a young man had taken the woman’s pants off and exposed her legs.

Police say several other people called 911 but they weren’t sure whether it was a fight or something else.

The 26-year-old woman who told police she was raped Tuesday said she was upset that no one stopped to help.

Police later charged a 15-year-old with rape and robbery.
