St. Louis plant reopens 1 week after shootings

ST. LOUIS — Employees at a St. Louis plant where a shooting spree one week ago left four people dead have returned to work.

Bob Fesmire, a spokesman for the ABB Inc. plant, says Thursday was being devoted to helping employees deal with their emotions after a disgruntled co-worker killed three men and injured five others before taking his own life. Counselors were on hand.

Authorities say Timothy Hendron arrived at the plant on Jan. 7 armed with four guns and opened fire. They are still trying to determine the motive.

Fesmire says damage from the shooting has been repaired.

All but two of the injured have been released from the hospital. Fesmire did not disclose details about the conditions of the two who remain hospitalized.
