Governor of Pakistan’s Punjab killed in attack

ISLAMABAD - The Pakistani president’s close aide and governor of the country’s largest province Punjab was killed Tuesday when a man opened fire at him in Islamabad, state media reported.
Salman Taseer succumbed to his injuries in hospital, Pakistan Television quoted officials as saying.
