Three Maoists held in Orissa with weapons

BHUBANESWAR - Three Maoist guerrillas were arrested in Orissas Mayurbhanj district early Monday, police said.

The rebels in the age group of 20-25 years were arrested from Suliapada area after police acted on a tip-off by a source, superintendent of police Dayal Gangwar told IANS, adding that a locally-made gun and 21 gelatin sticks were found in their possession.

The arrested rebels were involved in several crimes, including two murders in the district, over 250 km from here, and five murders in Jhargram area of neighbouring West Bengal, he said.
