Two die in blast near Peshawar school bus

PESHAWAR - Two people were killed and two children were injured Monday when a bomb exploded with a deafening roar near a school bus in this Pakistani city.

The blast occurred in Bhana Mari area, triggering panic. Express Tribune reported that the bus was carrying students of the Sir Syed Islamia Model School.

Most of the children had been dropped off at their homes when the massive blast tore through the vehicle.

Initial reports said that two children had been killed. However later reports indicated that the children were injured. The wounded were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital.

Witnesses said they heard gunfire after the blast.

The police arrested two suspects from the site.
