RAIPUR - Four Maoists were arrested Thursday from Chhattisgarh’s restive Bastar region, police said.

The arrests were made by a team of the Border Security Force (BSF) and the District Force from a forested belt of Koilibera in Kanker district, some 300 km south of here. Police say the four were wanted in over nine cases relating to attack on civilians and forces.

Kanker is one of the five districts that forms the 40,000 sq km restive Bastar region where rebels have been running a parallel administration for about three decades.
