WASHINGTON - A Boston bomb squad Tuesday was checking out two duffel bags at a cargo terminal at Logan Airport after K-9 units trained to sniff out explosives raised alarm.

A spokesman from the local transport agency, Massport, told the Boston Globe that a K-9 dog from the federal Transportation Security administration “got a hit” during routine inspections.

The official, Phil Orlandella, said the bags carried an address in Nigeria.

The bags were found inside a Delta cargo building that had been evacuated after alarm was raised.

The terminal is separate from passenger operations, which were not affected by the search, officials said.
