ISLAMABAD - A village in Pakistan’s Swat district has decided to pay back the Taliban in the same coin - by pasting posters against the militants after they put up posters opposed to the village defence committee.

Militants Monday displayed posters against the Bara Bandai village committee members.

Head of the village defence committee Idrees Khan told the News Tuesday that the militants warned them of dire consequences as they had formed an armed volunteer force to keep the rebels at bay.

He added that the militants pasted posters against the volunteer force at night.

Khan said the village defence committee decided to display posters against the rebels.

He added that the poster would be titled “Public Notice for Terrorists” and would include names of militants who are threatening the villagers and putting up posters.

“The militants would be paid in the same coin by our villagers,” he was quoted as saying.
