Siliguri Girl Commits Suicide over Obscene MMS Clips

SILIGURI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com) — Another MMS scandal takes the life of a teenager in the city of Siliguri, West Bengal. A 18-year old girl committed suicide after suffering from serious depression over circulation of an MMS.
According to police, the girl has been identified as a student of Siliguri Government Polytechnic College.
The lewd MMS clips were allegedly captured by a student of the same college, named Anindya Garai.
The victim girl, who supposedly met Anindya at hostel mess, was filmed on a mobile phone, without her consent. Later she came to know about the MMS and filed a complaint in September 2010.
But, the kin of the victim have accused the police of neglecting the complaint, lodged by the girl. They also state that the girl was under tremendous pressure as the accused used to blackmail her on regular basis.
However, a criminal case has been filed against Anindya, who is absconding so far.
No suicide note was left by the girl.
