KOLKATA - Maoist posters were found in West Bengal’s troubled West Midnapore district Thursday, police said.

Several Maoist posters were found from various areas of Jhargram town. The posters appealed to the lower rank police personnel and the central paramilitary troopers not to follow the diktats of the ruling Marxists, a police officer said.

“Be neutral,” the posters said.

Some of the posters urged the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) cadres to leave the outfit and join the people.

Maoists are mainly active in three western districts of the state - Purulia, West Midnapore and Bankura.
